A large bronze rose on a flexible stem, meant to fit snugly around the brim of a cavalier-style hat. Of course, it makes an attractive table ornament as well!

miscellany/knitneedles_small.jpg Bronze Knitting Needles

As identical as we can make them to a set excavated from a medieval site in Estonia. Handmade, these needles vary from 7" to 7-1/2" in length, and are sold in sets of five. Both ends taper smoothly, without snags. In gauge they are quite fine; roughly a 000 size in modern needles.

miscellany/mirror_small.jpg Polished Bronze Mirror

A bronze mirror, of the type historically used before 'looking glasses' (glass mirrors) were made. Yes, you can see your reflection in the front (well enough for use), but not quite as clearly as modern glass mirrors. The etched design on the back is from a La Tienne mirror in the British Museum, but the frame is more similar to styles found in the near east. Other designs available by request.
